Halloween Decoration With Pumpkin & Flowers

It's almost time for trick-or-treating, witches on broomsticks and carved pumpkins. We mean Halloween, of course! You'll obviously want to decorate your home appropriately for the spooky time of the year. And what better way to do that than with pumpkin decorations? Here are 3 tips for a spooky Halloween decoration with pumpkins and flowers.

This is what you'll need

For the pumpkin vase you need a sharp knife, a spoon (the bigger the better), a small glass vase or drinking glass that fits inside the pumpkin and most importantly: flowers! Choose autumnal flowers in red, orange, brown or yellow that radiate cosiness and Halloween vibes.

Cut into the pumpkin

Cut into the top of the pumpkin near the stem to completely cut off the top of the pumpkin. Make sure that the rest of the pumpkin has enough space for the vase or glass.

Cave the pumpkin

This works best with a tablespoon. You can also use a teaspoon, but it will take a little longer. Watch out: this can get a bit messy, so we advice to wear an apron or old clothes if you want to be on the safe side.

Add the flowers

Taaa-daa! Fill the vase or glass with water and place your autumn flowers inside. Put this together in the caved out pumpkin and your pumpkin flower vase is ready for Halloween. Easy-peasy and eerily beautiful!

Bonus-tip: Pumpkins in flower vase

Decorate your glass vase with little pumpkins to give your bouquet a touch of autumn and Halloween. Beautiful for on the dining table or kitchen counter.

Or how about a little floral decoration on your Halloween pumpkins?

Let your imagination run wild.
